About Leseli Development Foundation
Background Information
Leseli Development Foundation was founded in 2018 in Lesotho by team of local and
international experts. The organization was later registered as a Lesotho NGO and
Non-Profit Organization in January 2020. We are a donor driven organization aiming
at improving livelihoods in rural communities. The organization has since its inception
supported community initiatives such as communal and household food security and nutrition.
We identify development opportunities that rely on existing community initiatives,
build on strengths of existing structures. This approach enables the organization to
ensure initiatives gain support from communities’ structures and that our
beneficiaries not only the recipients of interventions, but later graduate and become
participants share production assets with others in need.
To eradicate poverty and hunger in all forms, ensure that communities fulfil their potential in dignity and equality in a healthy environment through skills development, training and sustainable livelihoods.
